The Hill Air Force Base in Utah has installed a private 5G network with the purpose of determining the viability of sharing the spectrum with the local commercial industry. The government has allocated $173 million to evaluate the feasibility of coexistence with various 5G networks. The project will work on three lines: 5G testbed, applications, and network enhancements.
