Nacogdoches Independent School District (NISD) has implemented Alef’s CBRS-based Private Mobile Networks (PMNs) Platform at Brooks-Quinn-Jones Elementary School in Texas. Alef is a mobile connectivity SaaS platform company. Nacogdoches, a town of roughly 32,000, is roughly equidistant from Dallas and Houston. The Nacogdoches ISD chose to use Alef’s Private Mobile Networks Platform as its first PMN at the Brooks-Quinn-Jones Elementary School and for students and families who live near the school.
NISD Superintendent Dr. Gabriel Trujillo states, “Too many families in too many communities are falling behind because they lack access to affordable broadband connectivity.” The deployment of Alef’s platform offers a promising alternative. Nacogdoches houses nearly 6,500 students across various schools. Alef’s Private Mobile Networks Platform uses the 3.5 GHz CBRS “Innovation Band” to provide secure, high-capacity coverage while simplifying IT management for the school district.
Alef’s CEO, Mike Mulica, emphasizes that private mobile networks are no longer limited to major enterprises, revolutionizing education by providing dedicated resources for learning, seamless communication, and multimedia-rich experiences.
