Vertical: Multi-User Dwellings

Application: Tenant applications

Ecosystem:  Alef, LittleBird, Baicells

Private Network: CBRS

The Happy Valley Cabana complex in the Phoenix area has deployed a CBRS network that provides its 292 apartments with advanced wireless options for tenants and staff to use. Tenants find they are able to use smart locks, thermostats, and cameras, while staff can use, among other things, video for enhanced safety in common areas.

Greenlight Communities, the manager of the property, hired LittleBird to manage the applications using Z-Wave to connect their controller to the smart home devices, which then propagates signals further using unlicensed CBRS networks, which are managed by Alef. Baicells provided the CBRS radios.

Other companies involved in the project include RF Connect, MultiTech, and VALL Technologies.
