Vertical: Public safety

Application: Firefighting

Ecosystem: Dense Air, Dublin City

Private Network: 5G

London-based Dense Air, part of the Airspan Group, provides ‘radio network as a service’, with small cells in dedicated licensed spectrum, close to where they are used.

For firefighting, small cells are deployed from the command support unit vehicle. The Dublin Fire Brigade wears cameras that connect the vehicle via a private 5G-ready test network deployed in Dublin Docklands that provides services to the entire smart city.

Public safety leaders can view real-time aerial coverage captured by connected drones, as well as the first responder video stream to gain situational awareness.
