Brazilian Oil & Gas Giant Petrobas Increases Private LTE Network

Private Network: LTE

Working with Telefonica Brasil and Nokia, Petrobas is increasing the size of its private LTE network both for offshore and onshore facilities. The network will eventually connect 46 sites with LTE and upgrade to 5G by the end of next year. Sites will include offshore rigs, refineries, ports, warehouses, and processing plants.  The networks will run on 700 MHz and 1.8 GHz bands.
