Bosch safeguards drivers against accidents with a bird’s eye view of traffic

Bosch’s MEC-View project provides a “birds’ eye view” of traffic around a block for drivers who are otherwise unable to see around intersections, landmarks, and buildings. By capturing Panoptic views with streetside cameras, it becomes possible to map them on screens that drivers can see inside their cars to avoid unsuspected accident risks. In addition, due to the low-latency communications on private LTE, MEC networks, capturing and displaying the high bandwidth imagery in real-time becomes possible. Bosch has deployed the thoroughly tested version of the project in Peachstreet Corners in Georgia in its Curiosity Lab, a 5G private network.
