The city of Amarillo, TX, is using federal funds to implement an LTE FWA network. The initial phase will cover the city, with phase two expanding access to “more than 50 communities in the Texas Panhandle.” The plan is to connect schools with student’s homes. Initially operating at 5GHz, the project will add support for 6GHz and use Wi-Fi 6E.
