CTM, Huawei, and the Macau University of Science and Technology (M.U.S.T.) have collaborated to launch a cross-regional “5G Smart Campus” project – the first smart campus private network in Macau. The campus spans Macau and Zhuhai, interconnecting CTM and M.U.S.T.’s networks through Huawei’s 5G technology.
Functioning as a dynamic incubator, the campus is designed to spearhead the exploration of pioneering 5G applications and solutions, including the integration of artificial intelligence into classrooms for an enhanced learning experience. The geographical scope of the campus, spanning both Macau and Zhuhai, creates a cross-regional testing ground for the practical application of 5G technologies.
By providing real-life 5G networking environments, the collaborative effort aims to empower research partners, fostering a conducive atmosphere for the acceleration of 5G innovation and development. This endeavor aligns with the broader goal of leveraging technological advancements to catalyze digital transformation in the local and regional landscapes. Through their concerted efforts, CTM, Huawei, and M.U.S.T. aspire to play a pivotal role in promoting the widespread adoption of 5G and driving forward the momentum of digital transformation.
