The Metropolitan Airports Commission (MAC) commissioned Communication Technology Services (CTS) to deploy a Private Wireless Networks Proof of Concept (PoC), using CBRS, at Minneapolis-Saint Paul Airport (MSP) to investigate several aviation operations use cases. The PoC looked at six CBRS-based private networks’ use cases: IIoT, mobile application usage, video surveillance, digital signage, maintenance tracking, and the use of carts inside the airport for shared use among airlines.
