Vertical: Manufacturing
Application: Industry 4.0
Ecosystem: ZTE, TrueBusiness
Private Network: 5G
ZTE Corporation, TrueBusiness, and Charoen Pokphand Foods (CPF) have successfully deployed an independent 5G private network at CPF’s Center of Engineering Excellence (CEE) in Thailand. This initiative directly supports Thailand’s Industry 4.0 strategy by addressing traditional Wi-Fi limitations in food manufacturing environments.
The “5G-in-a-box” solution leverages ZTE’s iMacro equipment, ideally suited for food factory conditions. The equipment’s external installation on glass walls maintains strict food safety protocols while delivering robust network performance. The system achieves impressive metrics: 882 Mbps downstream speeds, 10ms average latency, and 99.99% equipment reliability.
TrueBusiness provides dedicated spectrum access, while network slicing technology ensures enterprise-grade security and service quality. The UniEngine solution integrates core 5G functionalities with simplified operations and maintenance, delivering deterministic Service Level Agreements for industrial applications.
At CEE, the network enhances machine-to-human communication and enables advanced manufacturing capabilities including autonomous guided vehicles, robotics, vision inspection, and AI-powered systems. This deployment demonstrates how private 5G networks can effectively support modern manufacturing requirements while maintaining the stringent standards of food production facilities.
